Usually this time of year, they have special events that require sections of the parking lot to be sectioned off like that. More than likely, it's something along the lines of the practice area for a Cheerleading event at Axis Arena (has been set up like that before).

But you never know, the main lot is closer to the construction area than the employee lot, and has less curves to it. Only negative to storing pieces down there is the chance they go underwater in any flooding...

Truck drivers can navigate very well in tight spots. They are trained to do that.

Besides, I very seriously doubt they are doing anything construction wise yet. Especially with the temporary barrier like that. The park will more than likely have already included the price for a permanent fence around the storage if it were to use the parking lot. They're not going to leave coaster parts out in the open like that, imo.

Right, that makes sense because you had easy access to multiple points on the service road. The images posted on the other site are directly in front of BTR (from the lift hill to the service entrance to BTR). Which is no where near any service road entrance.

Maybe it is to leave enough room for the trucks to navigate around to access the service entrance as they may not want to crowd it.  Carowinds did this for the construction of Intimidator. But the area is kinda small to store a lot of track at one time. Another is the possibility they are getting ready to do some work on Batman. Not sure why after they painted Batman earlier this year.

^ That's not a logical spot to put anything related to the new ride, imo. It is not near any service road entrance, etc. The closest entrance is between Thunder River and The Gotham City Warehouse/Axis Arena. Also, the park isn't known to store new ride parts, etc., out in the parking lot that close to i-20. Usually they put ride parts in the back of the bone yard where they put Goliath during it's delivery/construction.

It is probably more plausible that the site is going to be used for something else. Maybe related to the existing stuff in the area, or to an event happening between this weekend and the end of the season.

The park has already blocked of a section of the parking lot to store either track or construction equipment. I think it is a little early to be seeing track and supports as no major progress has been done to the old Freefall site.
