I'm going to Southern California for my 18th birthday for a week.  I was wondering if anyone had any general tips about my trip.  Does it look like I'll have enough time at each park to hit every big "must-do" attraction?  If not, any suggestions on how to change things (I can't extend time in SoCal or add days, just move days around basically; except the first and last days, those days are set in stone.)  What are some of the top 3 or 4 attractions at each park?  Are food prices comparable to SFOG and Carowinds? (I'm assuming they are, but I don't know for sure).  Also, I'm getting around using public buses/trains/subway, considering the fact that I'm 18 and will be going on this trip alone, so I can't rent a car.  Anyway, heres my rough itinerary:

Wednesday - Disneyland (3 pm - Midnight)

Thursday - Disneyland (8 am - Midnight)

Friday - Huntington Beach (About 11 am - 3 PM) & Knotts Berry Farm (About 4 PM - 10 PM)

Saturday - Universal Studios Hollywood (10 AM - 7 PM)

Sunday - Universal Studios Hollywood (10 AM - 7 PM)

Monday - Family Feud Taping @ 11 AM and Explore Hollywood till about 6 PM

Tuesday - Six Flags Magic Mountain (w/ Flashpass) (11 AM - 6 PM)

If you like hotdogs, you have to eat at Pinks while in Hollywood. Good eatin there!

You definitely do not need two full days at USH... I would go on Sunday and use Saturday to do something else... maybe tour Hollywood, drive to the beach, etc.  You can count the main attractions at USH on one hand...

Venice Beach is a really interesting place, lot's of strange folks, and the Santa Monica Pier is just down the street. You could spend a day doing these two.

Well, the way the crowds were at USH on Sunday, I had to go back on Tuesday to ride The Simpsons Ride, Studio Tour, and to see Creature.  I had a buy 1 get 1 free ticket.  I didn't actually keep that schedule.  I'll post a trip report later on.  Disney really blew my mind.   Unfortunately, public transportation made it too difficult to get to SFMM, so I didn't go there.

Disney blew our minds too. We got tears in our eyes when we walked in because when we were growing up Disneyland was like Mecca. All kids prayed facing Disneyland back then.lol.
