We are first time Season Pass Holders. We want to go back in Sept or Oct. The park is only opened on weekends during these months. I heard that weekends during the summers are especially crowded. What are the weekends like in the fall? When is the best time to go? What are the crowds like on a Saturday in Sept?

I always recommend going on a Sunday over a Saturday, no matter what time of year.  I would avoid the last two weekends of September, as those are Military Appreciation Days, where active members of the military and their families can visit the park for free.  Labor Day is also a great day to visit.

Labor Day would be great for my family, as we are all off from work. BUT, I would assume lots of other people are as well. Seriously, Labor Day is a good day? Are the lines long on that day? Never having been on a Saturday or Sunday, for obvious reasons, if I did go on a Sat in Sept, what are the average times for the big rides. I have a 5 yr old who won't be riding many of these, but I would love to ride as many as I can. Thanks

Yes, Labor Day is a great day to visit the park... it will not be empty, but you should still be able to ride everything you want.

As far as wait times, it all depends.  If there is a change of rain, the waits are generally less.  If there is a special event or a large group outing, the waits are generally longer.

You may look into renting a Flash Pass so you will not have to wait in line and your 5 year old can ride smaller rides while you 'wait' for the coasters and other thrills.
